Course number : NCR 9714
« back to classes page
This half-day workshop introduces some of the best, most relevant classical schools of thought to restore civility and bolster critical thinking. Entertaining, accessible instruction and practice will build empathy, character, and community. Humorously employing the wisdom of Aristotle and others, with a pleasant dollop of Latin and Greek vocabulary, this course recognizes and celebrates the usefulness and applicability of logic and rhetoric in solving the contentiousness we encounter. (Previous exposure to philosophy, logic, or rhetoric is not required.) By conclusion of the workshop, attendees will have “tried on” many of the concepts and ideas, and will be able to implement easily what they learned.
